What

At Raleigh Kung Fu, we train a traditional self-defense system called ving tsun (often spelled wing chun). It’s been around for hundreds of years and is still relevant today. The system, as we train it, consists mostly of 2 person drills that increase in intensity as you progress. We also do conditioning and forms. It’s a very smart, simple and direct system with a heavy focus on striking, mobility and a solid foundation.

When

Tuesday 6:30pm, Thursday 6:30pm, Saturday 10am

Additional morning sessions, private training, workshops and training trips are available for active students.

Why

Kung fu makes you better! It’s good for your body and your brain. It’s fun and you meet a lot of interesting people. Plus, the martial skill you develop is there when you need it.

Who

All good-natured adults are welcome.

The system we train is pretty accessible for most people in reasonably good health.

The system, as we train it, is not appropriate for children. On rare occasions, students under 18 are allowed to accompany an adult parent/guardian who is actively training.
